OVERVIEW 

The goal of this conference is to increase the participant’s knowledge of current advances in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease with an emphasis on both interventional and non-interventional modalities.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This annual premier event features local and nationally recognized faculty and focuses on the specific needs of those in primary care, internal medicine, family practice, and general cardiology.

OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify current trends in the treatment of dyslipidemias.

  • Discuss the latest advances in the prevention and treatment of heart failure.

  • Discuss the clinical manifestations of the pre-hypertensive patient.

  • Explore the controversies in anti-platelet therapy for the patient with acute coronary syndrome.

  • List the risks and benefits of carotid stenting.

  • Identify strategies to decrease the risks associated with left main coronary artery stenting.
