It is established that the outcome of patients undergoing major orthopedic surgery depends upon anesthesia and postoperative pain techniques. With the support of the orthopaedic anesthesia, pain and rehabilitation society this conference has been planned to provide education to increase the ability of anesthesiologists and other interested healthcare professionals to perform and/or understand anesthesia and acute postoperative techniques in order to optimize immediate recovery of patients undergoing orthopaedic procedures.
