OVERALL GOAL STATEMENT

The 13th Annual Cardiovascular Symposium will focus on the high-priority issues and latest clinical advances in the ever-changing field of cardiovascular medicine.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Appraise the issues regarding anatomical suitability, techniques, perioperative care, and service provision of AAA repair in high-risk patients.

  • Discuss the impact that AHA/ACC, ACCP, and other national guidelines, along with new trials, are likely to have on the future management of patients with STEMI and ACS.

  • Identify appropriate patients as potential candidates for Left Main Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), with a comprehensive update of new supportive devices.

  • Compare and contrast noninvasive cardiac computed tomography with other imaging modalities (Echo/Cath/Nuclear).

  • Examine the cardiac rehabilitation guidelines and implications involved with the industrial athlete/patient returning to work, with a focus on police and firefighter patients.

  • Delineate innovative techniques and new modality of therapy for lower extremity revascularization.

How to Register

You may register by mail, fax or online.  To print a registration form, click on the button above.  Space is limited and early registration is advised. Availability of on-site registration is not guaranteed. Tuition includes digital course syllabus, Saturday breakfast, lunch and refreshment breaks, free admission to the Ewing Mansion and Southfork Museum, giveaways, same-day certificates, free parking at Southfork Hotel, and shuttle service from Southfork Hotel to/from Southfork Ranch.  Registrations received up to 10 days prior to the program date will be acknowledged by email. A $25 service charge and minor curse or hex will be added to each returned check and/or credit/debit card denial.

CONFIRMATION of registration will be emailed to you within five days of receipt of your registration. Should you require a confirmation faxed or mailed to you, please indicate that on your registration form. You do not need to bring your confirmation with you to the conference to show at check-in.

Preregistration Due Date: To qualify for the preregistration rate, your completed registration information and payment must be received by August 8, 2009.

Cancellation Policy: You are encouraged to send a substitute, clone, or zombie if you are unable to attend. Cancellations will be accepted until 5 p.m. CST, August 8, 2009, and are subject to a $45 administration fee. No refunds will be given after that date. Substitutions will be accepted. No-shows are not eligible for a refund. All preregistered, unpaid no-shows will be billed the full program tuition. Your completion of the registration form constitutes your agreement to these terms.

Internationally recognized as the filming location for the long-running Dallas television series, Southfork Ranch operates today as both a tourist attraction and an event and conference center, hosting such events as the Cardiovascular Symposium. Guided tours of the famed Ewing Mansion and museum are available free to all Symposium attendees.

Please bring a jacket or sweater as the temperature of the ballroom may vary, particularly if any poltergeists are passing by.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Hotel rooms have been blocked at the Southfork Hotel. Make your reservations by July 24, 2009 to ensure a rate of $79 per night by contacting the Southfork Hotel, 1600 N.
