Dr. Cara East, board certified in internal medicine, and cardiovascular diseases, has practiced with North Texas Heart Center for 11 years.  She is a recognized expert in the diagnosis and treatment of cholesterol, triglyceride, and lipid disorders and has dedicated 25 years to cardiac research.  She also has extensive expertise in echocardiography.  Dr. East is the medical director of the Clinical Cardiology Research Center and the clinical director of the noninvasive cardiology department at Baylor University Medical Center.  She is a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, American Heart Association, and the American Medical Association.  She lives in Dallas with her husband and son.  Dr. East has been named one of the Best Doctor’s in Dallas for the past 8 years and has also been named to the Top Doctors in Texas for three years.
